A Website is Born (iamjohnny)
Some of the most ridiculous things I have thought of occur when I am laying in bed in the middle of the night. When I was a pre-teen my dad was an early adopter of DSL internet back in the early days of the internet. It truly was the wild wild west back then. I had made Pokemon sites by basically stealing source code from various sites and piecing together HTML. Being self taught, and having no cash, it was pretty rudimentary, but I definitely had some functioning sites and all my buddies were impressed.
Well, many years have elapsed since then and things that would take hours now take seconds, or or just pre-populate on their own. Video editing on the phone is just laughable to see because back in the day we would match clips of Dragon Ball Z where they would lay a music track over the top and it was basically the hardest thing available at the time.
While I still pursue many hobbies, I am not as interested in dedicating time to learning the nuances of coding, but I figured I could put something together in WordPress.
That is where I found myself laying in bed in the middle of the night, searching through GoDaddy for no apparent reason where I stumbled across www.iamjohnny.com for (what I consider a fire sale) $1K. And that is how this blog and site is starting. Today this site is nothing, at worst it will be a landing page for myself forever, at best I generate some passive income. Regardless, it is my digital real estate and I am happy to have it.
